“The Curly Q earrings were one of the first pairs of earrings since the official launch of TK Smith Jewelry that I knew were not “mine”. I made them for the sake of making them and exploring the design.”  - TK Smith

Part of the challenge being a maker of jewelry is that the finished work can always be added to one’s own collection. The time, skill, and care required to complete an art object creates a relationship with the work. The shift from “for me” to “for art’s sake” is often a blurred boundary.

These earrings have now found their forever home with the necklace that was commissioned to accompany them.
